Cafe Atas

We thought it could be another gimmick cafe but turn out to be unexpectedly superb environment; serving good and up to standard drinks and dessert. Where would you get a 30pcs arts gallery exhibition for free by just paying for a drink. The place comes with a combination of modern contemporary and rustic vibes; comes with both outdoor and indoor sitting. And they provides comfortable and clean wash room too. This is really important if you plan to sit here and lay back for a good long drink. The open outdoor environment is more on rattan design with individual sitting; comes with couple of power points for device usage. However, the indoor sitting is air-conditioned surrounded by the minimalist art gallery, mainly dedicate to group of 2-4 pax. Back to the F&B. We really enjoyed both hojicha and the choclate drinks which are flavourful enough with the right texture, richness and sweetness. My gosh! Not a dessert fans but we both really love the croffle (hybrid of croissant & waffle). Try one if u are here. It was still nice and crunchy even it was eaten much later after serving. However, they don’t offer any main meal aside croffle and gelato. So eat something ahead if u are one hungry chap before enjoying an ATAS experience at the ATAS :)

Cafe Atas serves coffee and tea, as well as a few delicacies such as gelato, croffles or even both together! I personally find the croffles combined with the classic milk gelato the best of them all. Cafe Atas 2.0 has just been opened too! It's an extension of the original cafe with numerous artworks and masterpieces from around the world on display. If you're looking for great coffee and some nice snacks, Cafe Atas is the place for you to chill out! One thing that could be improved though, is the variety of the menu, which I would love to see to be expanded.

The service was above average. Coffee is a slightly stronger, which was fine to me. But can be a bit too much for mild-coffee consumer or beginners. But hey, at least they extracted it good, no overburnt taste. The place on the other hand, isn't spacious which is mostly suitable for small groups, duo or solo. The cafe is located in upper-storey and actually reminds me of the Cafe Apartment in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Bare in your mind, the place doesn't serve any light or heavy food. It's solely for beverages if I'm not mistaken. It can be tricky to look for the place, but the landmark is Pekan Buah. Find that first, and go one level up for the cafe.

Nice dessert/gelato shop. Serving their best croffle with gelato. So yummy so good! They have additional space with aircond opposite of the cafe, it's a nice small art gallery.

Been visiting this cafe for years from time to time. They serve not only coffee and gelato but cozy ambiance especially the al fresco seating just facing the mural arts of Pekan Buah. Gloomy weather, quiet surrounding and an extra shots ice latte just brings simple happiness for the day. Anyway, hopefully there will be more gelato options in future.

Latte float and croffle+gelato were nice. Small cafe with cozy vibe. Parking depends on time, I guess. Went on weekday and hard to park car. Used to go on weekend and easy to find parking beside masjid nagore.

Im lovin the cheerfulness and the bright atmosphere of this cafe on 1st floor of Pasar Buah Alor Setar. Facing the incredible mural if you sit outside makes it a pleasant and interesting visit. The seatings were well planned along the first floor. Drinks and food was ok. Had nice cool drink and gelato. Perfect on a hot sunny day.
